Ron DeSantis signed a bipartisan bill into law that unearth more Jeffrey Epstein records. The law will allow for the release of records from a 2006 Florida grand jury. Victim advocates hope that the release of the Epstein grand jury records will shed light on why prosecutors brought limited charges, and what else they may have known at the time. The Associated Press reported that a state judge decided not to release the records Thursday morning, citing the impending law. The Palm Beach police chief was so outraged that the grand jury only charged Epstein with one count that the FBI got involved.

CNN —The FBI’s “repeated and continued failures, delays and inaction” allowed Jeffrey Epstein to continue his sex trafficking operation for more than 20 years, 12 alleged victims claimed in a lawsuit filed Wednesday. The lawsuit also says they support the unredacted release of FBI documents regarding Epstein, claiming the files are still largely sealed. “During the FBI investigation, the FBI was complicit in permitting Epstein and coconspirators to continue to victimize Jane Does 1-12 and other young women,” the lawsuit said. The FBI was notified the bank handled more than $1.1 million in payments from Epstein to women or girls, the lawsuit claimed. However, the FBI allegedly received additional tips and reports concerning sex abuse following the 2008 plea deal.

In her deposition, Giuffre claimed she and Dershowitz had sex at least 6 times as she was trafficked by Epstein. In the deposition, Giuffre alleges that she and Dershowitz were introduced while Jeffrey Epstein trafficked her as a teenager. To Dershowitz, 'the case is over'Since their settlement, Dershowitz has softened his public statements regarding Guiffre while maintaining his innocence regarding her allegations. When news that the related court documents would be unsealed, Dershowitz publicly called for the complete release of all related documents, claiming they'd prove his innocence. The unsealed deposition, Dershowitz told BI "shows the origin" of how he came to be "framed" for crimes against Guiffre.

The sources say Justice Department officials are looking carefully at a cross section of past cases involving the mishandling of classified material. Though his comments were about the separate Jan. 6 investigation, Justice Department officials said they apply broadly. Experts say the public evidence in the Mar-a-Lago case seems unambiguous. Less clear is whether there are aggravating factors — such as whether the Justice Department can prove Trump obstructed justice by failing to turn over documents despite a grand jury subpoena. Martin’s lawyers said he was a hoarder, and prosecutors concluded that he had not given classified information to anyone.
